Description

Beware of Units Capital at unitscapital.com

According to reports from our readers, this platform is a financial scam, purporting to operate as a forex/CFD broker, but in reality, its goal is to extort deposits. Those who contact us are unable to withdraw funds deposited on this platform.

Upon closer inspection, the website itself bears the hallmarks of a scam. Among other things, we find a fake FCA license:

fake units capital license

Units Capital Fake License

This is a fabricated document, as evidenced by the fact that there is no mention of the company Units Capital Ltd. in the British FCA register. Moreover, the company itself was registered only in January 2022 with a share capital of GBP 100, and the above license states that it was obtained in 2016.

It is a bush company, they do not appear anywhere, they do not have a license (the one on the website is fake). Conned by the staff I paid 900 zloty. The account supposedly of an accountant, but in reality it is an individual probably not realizing that his bank account was taken. This is what I was told at the police, where I reported the whole thing. I asked for a contract, for a week-long adventure with them I was deluded that I would get one but I did not get it. By phone you can't get through, they are the ones calling. I advise against calling the numbers they provide, be on your guard against being charged for this as well. They are ordinary scammers who extort cash and personal information, for which they are then able to take out loans. I paid 900 zloty and a few hours later the guy called me (they all have an eastern accent) and told me to install AnyDesk (a program to view someone else's desktop and act on it and consequently on someone else's computer) on my computer. He said he would teach me how to use the platform. He did well for a few days (the data on the unitscapital platform is probably generated by a program deliberately written for this purpose). I "increased" the paid-in capital. This is how they pretend to be experts and build trust. Of course, they also have their "robot" which supposedly trades automatically. This is also a tale, they enter data from the top to also inspire confidence and professionalism. Throughout this learning period you have to use AnyDesk. After some time they ask you to switch to one of the platforms for trading Bitcoin. In my case it was Coinbase. There they show you how to set up an account (the question is why since they have their own platform, but about that in a moment, that's what I'm getting at). When setting up, you have to give your data, even a scan of your ID. Coinbase is a legitimate platform, but we work in AnyDesk, of course you can disable the preview, but more on that in a moment. They showed me how they make withdrawals. As part of the learning process and from what "grew" they transferred from unitscapital to conbase the equivalent of $50 in Bitcoin, then showed me how to make transfers to my own account. I point out that £900 is approximately $200 plus on this pretend exchange I "grew" in a week about $100. So they had a lot of money, although in fact it was my money, of course, at their instigation I ordered the transfer myself. Everything so far so good. The transfer arrived, again called the guy asking if the transfer arrived. of course, he showed me beforehand various dummies to "study" so I also had to have AnyDesk on. I said I would check, but I was in no hurry. He said he was leaving AnyDesk, hung up by phone. I went back to my own work on the computer. Then 5 minutes later I noticed that the session in AnyDesk is still open. He continues to see what I am doing on the computer. And this is how my dear ones are phishing for data. After all, in the newly created account on Coinbase there were my data, scan of proof, everything. New passwords are not remembered, we usually write them down for ourselves. He peeping sees the login, password, then logs in, thus can change the login data, we lose contact with the account to even delete these data. The same thing applies to bank accounts. With the data, they can take out loans, we can also function as servants without realizing that our account is used for transfers by the next robbed people. When I realized this, I changed passwords everywhere although I don't know if it was too late. The guy called the next day proposing that I start playing now for a minimum of $1500 because now is the best time to do it. This time he proposed an hour-long meeting on AnyDesk (as much as an hour of time to be able to share my data with them). I note that for a whole week I did not ask to write a contract, there are people who remain totally anonymous throughout the contact, a person does not know with whom he is talking and to whom he shares more and more data and money. I asked for the withdrawal of the funds I paid in. Although there is a button on the platform for withdrawal of funds, it actually serves as an ornament, pressing it after selecting funds for withdrawal will not do anything. The visitor told me that withdrawing the remaining funds is not possible because they currently have the automatic trading mode turned on. I did not ask him to turn it on, he invoked it to have an argument for not withdrawing the money. I would like to point out that when they previously showed me how to use it, they were able to withdraw the funds within a few hours. I made an appointment with him the next day, the same situation, there is automatic trading, there must be some money left in the account because something there, because insurance (but what insurance, there was no mention of it before). Contact broke off. I contacted a law firm that handles such cases, among others. This "company" is well known to them.
