STP (Straight Trough Processing) Forex Brokers – list/ranking

STP brokers, like ECN brokers , are merely intermediaries in executing transactions. An STP broker anonymously transmits orders to its liquidity providers. It can be described as a cross between a multi-asset broker and an ECN . This type of broker earns money from a spread or commission on executed orders. Important factors in this case include the speed of order execution and the number and quality of a given broker’s liquidity providers.

An STP broker in the Forex market typically has a single liquidity provider to whom all orders are automatically routed, and the conditions for transaction execution largely depend on this liquidity provider. The lack of diversification among order providers makes this a somewhat less neutral broker operating model, which is also exposed to pricing errors if the liquidity provider experiences issues. Nevertheless, an STP broker often offers very favorable trading conditions, especially concerning transaction costs.
