A Market Maker broker is, in other words, a market maker. They create their own internal trading market by taking rates from the interbank market and expanding them with appropriate spreads (the broker’s earnings). In this way, the other party to the transaction is, in fact, the MM broker. On the one hand, these brokers are often suspected of playing against their clients, but on the other hand, they are primarily able to provide protection against negative balances in client accounts. The opposite and biggest competitor of the MM model is the ECN broker . It’s worth considering all the pros and cons before choosing an MM forex broker.
