Crypto brokers (or cryptocurrency brokers) are a new breed of brokers in the CFD market. They specialize in cryptocurrency trading. Accounts are typically held in Bitcoin, and they allow leveraged trading in cryptocurrencies, traditional currencies, and other derivatives (commodities, metals, indices).

Most brokers offer CFD instruments based on Bitcoin , but those who want to trade other cryptocurrencies can find instruments based on Etherum , Ripple , Litecoin , and Dashcoin , among others.

It is worth remembering that this is a relatively new type of broker, often not established within specific legal frameworks. For this reason, companies of this type are often registered in remote, weakly regulated jurisdictions. Therefore, it is advisable to pay particular attention to reviews of a specific broker.

The market for cryptocurrency-based CFD instruments is relatively young, which means brokers are still developing solutions for safe and seamless trading, especially regarding liquidity provision. Those who opt for internal order execution bear the risk associated with prolonged price movement in one direction. Conversely, brokers wishing to route orders externally currently have limited choices for liquidity providers; however, this segment is continuously evolving, so we can expect ongoing improvements in trading conditions. It is also worth noting the liquidity of individual cryptocurrencies.
